It is my dream to grow in the academic world
“For me, studying at the VUB was primarily an ideological choice: free thinking is an ideal that I have long held in high esteem. In practice, I quickly found my place here, both in my studies and in the wide range of activities that student life offers. Because of this choice, I had to leave many of my high school friends behind, but I didn't regret it for half a second. I feel more at home here than anywhere else and it is my dream to grow in the academic world later on.”
On the occasion of the VUB’s 50th anniversary, prof. dr. Martina Temmerman asked the students in her introductory course on journalism genres to make portraits of people on the VUB campus. The ‘snapshots’ resulting from the project Humans of the VUB offer a lovely cross section of life on our university campus in 2019/20.
